November Treatment of the month: Cavitation/ Body Contouring

This month we are focussing on Body Cavitation/ Contouring, but what is it?

Watch our Youtube video below:

What is body contouring? We offer two treatments that permanently break down fat cells: Li-Pro sculpt body contouring and cryolipolysis fat freezing. We are talking about the li-Pro sculpt today but chat to us if you want to find our more about the fat freezing.

Li-pro sculpt uses a two step process; lipo cavitation which breaks down the fat cells followed by radio frequency which firms and tones, as well as helping the broken down fat cells to leave the body.

Imagine your fat cells like a collection of Maltesers (should we talk about chocolate when discussing fat cells?!) The cavitation comes into the body and it hits some of the Maltesers and breaks them up. It doesn’t break all the fat cells in one session as it bounces around and only hits some of them (this is why we recommend a course, so each time we hit new cells). When the Maltesers are whole, the body can’t do anything with them they are just stored but once we break them and therefore kill them, the body gets rid of them via lipolysis. Over the following 72 hours they pass out of our body (you’ll notice you wee more than normal).

Next the radio frequency sends heat into the area and causes it to tighten. This is great for anyone who has already lost weight and has a pocket that feels a bit ‘empty’ and also great as the course goes on and the fat cells start to leave the body. It means the area is left firmer.

Fun fact - Did you know you can’t make new fat cells? Unlike other cells like the skin, we don’t create more fat cells.

So how do I put on weight? Rather than getting more fat cells, we inflate the fat cells that are already there when we put on weight.

So, what does that mean? It means that if we kill fat cells with one of our body contouring treatments, those fat cells are gone and can’t return. Yes, you can still inflate the fat cells that are left behind, but it does give you more of a chance to keep the weight off. You do need to team healthy eating to get the best results from the treatment.

What areas can you have it done on?

Tummy is the most popular area. We can also do this treatment on the love handles, hips, upper legs and upper arms. You can only have one area done at a time. So if you have several areas to work on, it’s best to do a course of 6 on the first area and then move on. You can have the treatment every 72 hours, so if you want results quickly, you can get the course of 6 in over a short period.

Does a one off treatment work? Yes you’ll see results instantly from one treatment. This makes it a great treatment before an event. However, if you want to see big changes, a course of 6 is required. Think bag of Maltesers; We need to break some down each time as they don’t all break at once.

Can I have this treatment? This is suitable for most people who would like to make small to big changes in their body. Great for those who are thinking of starting a healthy eating plan as it can really give you a kick start. Anyone with lymphatic problems such as lymphoedema or any liver problems, can’t have this treatment as we need the lymphatic system to be working well to get rid of the fat cells.

Pre and post advice

Before you come for treatment avoid caffeine for a few hours and also any flu medications. Also avoid drinking alcohol the night before. These things keep the liver busy, meaning it can’t process the fat cells as well. After the treatment drink lots of water for 72 hours whilst everything is flushing out the system. There is no recovery time, you’ll feel the same after the treatment as beforehand.

Will I lose weight? We encourage you not to track your weight with this treatment as it’s not so much about weight but more about the contours of your body. You will find your clothes feel loser and will see a difference in your body shape. We do take measurements, so you can see what inch loss you have.

We offer a free consultation so you can find out more and see if the treatment is right for you.

£94 per session / £470 course of 6
